The Center for Business and Industry Training (CBIT), located in the Citizens First Michigan Technical Education Center, provides outstanding cost-effective training and educational services that enhance skills, increase productivity, and improve workforce quality. Our professional staff delivers services to provide new or sharpen existing job skills. Services include seminars, training needs analysis, individual assessments, and customized training. Training is presented in modern computer labs and classrooms at M-TEC, or on site at area companies.

CBIT has partnered with VUE and Certiport (Microsoft Office Specialist) to bring the area a state-of-the-art testing center offering over 500 different computer certification tests from over 26 different sponsors.

We offer Series Certificates in Leadership, Team Building, and Customer Service. Each series has seven four-hour seminars, which can be taken individually as well.

We partner with Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC) to offer proven management and continuous improvement techniques based on years of experience and practice by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier Ones.

Our WorkKeys Service Center can tailor workforce development solutions to meet your business needs.

Upon completion of certain non-credit classes, participants are awarded nationally recognized Continuing Education Units (C.E.U.). Also, certificates of accomplishment are awarded for certain specialized courses.
