ACCIDENTS ON CAMPUS
Reports are to be made of accidents occurring on the College campus that cause injury to students. Accidents causing serious injury are to be treated as emergencies. Forms to report student accidents are available in the Student Services Office, 209 MB.

Athletics 810-989-5670
The College maintains an Inter-Collegiate Athletic Program and is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association.

SC4 participates in men's and women’s basketball, men’s baseball, women’s softball, men's golf and women’s volleyball.
The College also provides the opportunity for intramural sports throughout the Fall and Winter Semesters based upon student request and interest. Please contact the Athletic Department, 810-989-5670, for additional information.

BOOKSTORE
Campus - College Center Building 810-989-5725
The College Store Campus carries required books and supplies for classes as well as clothing and convenience items. New and used books are available. The store purchases marketable used books from students during the final exam week of each semester. The store is open to the public.

The E.O.C. M-TEC Child Care Center, on the community college campus, is designed to provide quality care for college students and staff. The Center is operated by E.O.C. of St. Clair County and is affiliated with Blue Water HeadStart.
HOURS: 6:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday-Friday; RATES: Hourly. Contact the center for further information; PAYMENT: Expected each week by the preceeding Friday; AGES: 6 weeks to 6 years.
 

FOOD SERVICE FACILITIES
Food services is available in the College Center through Mac’s Café which is operated by McDonalds®. You’ll find McDonalds® favorites plus salads, soups, bagels and pita-type bread sandwiches. On the first floor of the Main Building vending machines and microwave ovens are available. Vending machines are also available in several other buildings throughout the campus.

FORWARDING MESSAGES TO STUDENTS
Relaying messages to students on campus is very difficult because of the size of the campus. St. Clair County Community College will do its best to deliver your EMERGENCY messages ONLY.

GRADUATION RATE DISCLOSURE
If you are interested in the SC4 graduation rate and/or the transfer student rate, please contact the Registrar in Room 213 MB or visit the SC4 Web site at www.sc4.edu.

HEALTH INSURANCE FOR STUDENTS
Students may obtain an accident and sickness insurance policy for a nominal premium. Brochures are available in the Main Building in Student Services, Room 209, Enrollment Services, Room 213, or at the Switchboard. The College provides the policy information for students. SC4 is not responsible for any coverage and/or claims.

INTERNET ACCESS - ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
Internet are provided to support research and education by providing access to unique resources and the opportunity for collaborative work. To that degree, use of the Internet must be in support of education and research and consistent with the mission of the College. Students must adhere to the College’s Acceptable Use Policy for Internet and Email use. The acceptable use policy is posted throughout the Microcomputer Lab area and in the Learning Resources Center.

LITERARY MAGAZINE
Patterns is an award-winning magazine of student writing and art that is published annually. Patterns features the winning entries in the college’s writing and art competition. More information about Patterns is available from either the English or Art departments.

LOST AND FOUND 810-984-3881
The Switchboard, located in the Main Building, is the central location for all lost and found items on campus.

NEWSPAPER
The ERIE SQUARE GAZETTE is published every two weeks through Fall and Winter Semesters. The nucleus of the staff is drawn from journalism classes, but membership on the staff is also open to all interested students. Call the English Department at 989-5584 for more information.
 

PARKING
Student parking is available at no charge in the large lot adjacent to the College Center Building. Additional paid parking is available at city operated facilities nearby. Certain areas of the College Center lot and the entire lot at the Main Building are reserved for faculty and staff. Persons parking illegally (including fire lanes and unauthorized handicap usage) will be ticketed by College Campus Patrol personnel or city, county, or state police agencies.

RADIO STATION
21/22 Fine Arts Building (FAB), 810-989-5564 or 989-5646

SC4 operates two radio stations. One is WSGR (91.3 fm) that operates 24 hours a day, year round and the other is WCLG (740 am). Both stations are staffed with student broadcasters and provide training for jobs in the broadcast industry. All students are encouraged to inquire about the opportunity to be on the air with their own program.

STUDENT BULLETIN 810-989-5560
A Student Bulletin is issued every Monday and contains such items as announcements, notices to individual students, and information about club meetings and coming events. The bulletins are posted at convenient locations throughout the buildings. Items for the bulletin should be submitted to the Student Services Office, 209 MB, by 4:30 on Wednesday of the week preceding printing. It is the student’s responsibility to read this bulletin to keep current with campus activities, special announcements, deadlines, etc.

STUDENT GOVERNMENT

Student Government of St. Clair County Community College promotes and sponsors a wide range of activities throughout the academic year and serves as the formal spokesperson for the students. Membership to Student Government is by election, but any student, part or full-time may participate in some segment of Student Government. All students are invited to attend the bi-weekly meetings.
 

Petitions to run for election to Student Government
Student Government officers are: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. A 2.0 grade point average is required to hold office and you must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours.

Students must file petitions with forty (40) valid signatures as specified by the election committee. The deadline for filing petitions will be announced in the Student Bulletin. Petitions may be picked up in the Office of the Dean of Student Services, 209 MB, and must be returned to Student Services by the date specified. The Student Government officers are elected during the Winter Semester.

STUDENT CLUBS 810-989-5670
Student clubs provide opportunities for leadership, expanded interests and social life. Student Government is made up of the officers of all the recognized clubs on campus. Student Government coordinates activities of the clubs and appropriates funds from the Student Activities Fund.

VOTER REGISTRATION
If you have not registered to vote, forms to do so are available in the College Store, Enrollment Services, and the Learning Resources Center.

WORKS PRODUCED BY STUDENTS
Students have a right to their own creative work. After the work has been reviewed, corrected, evaluated, or graded, the work is to be returned to the student. Except for classroom and instructional purposes, no one may publish, display, perform, record, transmit, or otherwise use a student’s work without his/her permission. However, if a student submits a work for publication, display or performance to any College activity, the student thereby grants the College the right to edit, publish, display, perform, record and transmit the work
