Port Huron sophomore Jim Mazur gets ready to test his team's mass projector, which launched a rock toward a target Oct. 16, 2006. The project was a part of H.C. Snyder's Physics (PHY 221) class, which had students build and measure the efficiency of a mass projector. Students fired arrows, pebbles and metal pipes from home-made projectors.
