Del James Blessinger Award for Teaching Excellence

In appreciation of an award given to him while a student at St. Clair County Community College, the late Del James Blessinger, in establishing an endowment in his name for St. Clair County Community College, made provision for a portion of the earnings from the endowment each year to be awarded to acknowledge excellence in teaching.

Two awards will be presented at Commencement: one to a full-time teaching faculty member and one to an adjunct teaching faculty member at St. Clair County Community College.

Nominations may be made by full-time and adjunct faculty, administrators, staff and students.

Nominations will be reviewed by the trustees of the Blessinger Foundation.

Individuals eligible to submit nominations for this award are students, full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, staff and administrators of St. Clair County Community College. The award will be made based upon information provided in this form. Nominators are encouraged to interview the candidate to provide complete and thorough reasons for nominating the faculty member.
