CLUBS AND ORGANIZATIONS ATHLETICS North Building, Rooms 22 & 119 (810) 989-5670 SC4 has an intercollegiate athletic program and is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association in men's and women's basketball, men's baseball, women's softball, men's golf, and women's volleyball . The college also provides the opportunity for intramural sports throughout the fall and winter semesters based upon student request and interest. Contact the Athletic Department for additional information. COLLEGE RADIO STATION Fine Arts Building, Rooms 21 & 22 (810) 989-5564 or (810) 989-5646 SC4 operates two radio stations. One is WSGR (91.3 FM) operating 24 hours a day year round, and the other is WCLG (1490 AM). STUDENT CLUBS North Building, Rooms 22 & 119 (810) 989-5670 Student clubs provide opportunities for leadership, expanded interests, and social life. Student Government is made up of the officers of all the recognized clubs on campus. They coordinate activities of the clubs and appropriate funds from the Student Activities Fund. The following is a typical list of clubs that receive appropriations from Student Activities Funds: · Engineering Club · Environmental Concerns Organization · Erie Square Gazette · Global Awareness Club · InterVarsity Christian Fellowship · Phi Theta Kappa · Radio Station WSGR · Student Government STUDENT GOVERNMENT Main Building, Room 110 (810) 989-5737 Student Government promotes and sponsors a wide range of activities throughout the academic year and serves as the formal spokesperson for the students. Membership to Student Government is by election, but any student, part-time or full-time, may participate in some segment of Student Government. All students are invited to attend the bi-weekly meetings. PETITIONS TO RUN FOR ELECTION TO STUDENT GOVERNMENT Student Government officers are President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. A 2.0 grade point average is required to hold office and you must be enrolled in a minimum of 9 credit hours each semester. Students must file petitions with forty (40) valid signatures as specified by the election committee. The deadline for filing petitions will be posted. Petitions may be picked up in the Athletic Office, and must be returned by the date specified. The Student Government officers are elected duringthe winter semester.
