Commencement 2006

St. Clair County Community College’s 82nd annual Commencement ceremony Friday, May 5, 2006, honored graduating students in six associate degree programs and numerous certificate programs.

The event at McMorran Arena in Port Huron featured Detroit television news personality Chuck Gaidica as commencement speaker. Gaidica has worked as director of meteorology at WDIV Channel 4 in Detroit since 1987. He is a two-time Emmy Award winner.

SC4 students earned associate degrees in arts, science, engineering, general education, business, and applied arts and science. The college had 577 students eligible to graduate.

Also participating in the ceremony were SC4 University Center partners Saginaw Valley State University, whose students earned bachelor of arts in elementary education degrees and elementary teacher certifications, and Siena Heights University, whose students earned bachelor of arts in general studies and bachelor of applied science degrees.


The SC4 Commencement ceremony will be aired on Comcast Cable Channel 3 at:

  • 4 p.m. Monday, May 8
  • 10 a.m. Thursday, May 11
  • Noon Saturday, May 13

Comcast Channel 3 is viewable from the Mount Clemens area in Northern Macomb County up to Burtchville Township in St. Clair County, and from the Romeo area in Macomb County east to the St. Clair River.
