Michigan Community College Scholarship
Awarded to University of Michigan transfer students selected on the basis of their academic performance and other qualifications. All entering transfer students are automatically considered and no application is required.

St. Clair County AFL-CIO Scholarship
Applicants must be a union member or a son/daughter or legally adopted child of an active, retired or deceased member. Applicant will be required to submit documentation with the scholarship application. The recipient, upon completion of the term that the scholarship was awarded, will give a brief report to the sponsor at its monthly meeting.
Award: $500   Deadline: August 30, 2010    application

VFW Post 5855 Scholarship
Awarded to any Michigan Veteran at any Michigan School (4yr, 2yr or trade).

Eligibility criteria include:

  • Must be attending a university, college or trade school
  • Provide a copy of student ID
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 (an unofficial transcript will be accepted)
  • Submit copy of DD214
  • Must be a member of a Veteran’s organization
  • Provide a copy of membership card
  • Must be a resident of the state of Michigan
The scholarships will be awarded twice a year.
Award: $500 each   Deadlines: Spring - Oct 15   application

Students applying for financial aid for semesters

  • Spring 2011
should submit the 2010-2011 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) using our school code, 002310.

Students should use their Department of Education PIN number to complete a Renewal FAFSA and to provide an Electronic Signature. If you have misplaced or forgotten your PIN number for the FAFSA application, visit the Department of Education's PIN Web Site and click "Request a Duplicate PIN".
