    A study commissioned in 2014 by Economic Modeling Specialists International analyzed SC4’s effect on St. Clair County using student and financial data from the 2012-13 fiscal year. See the full results below.

  • Other highlights from the study:

    • SC4 contributes $202.6 million to the local business community and is responsible for 4.5% of the county’s entire gross regional product.
    • For every $1 students spend on tuition at SC4, they earn $5.30 in higher future wages.
    • For every dollar the community invests, society sees $9 in benefits. That includes the extra money earned by students when they enter the working world and social savings generated by the improved lifestyles of students.
    • SC4 is a large employer in St. Clair County. In 2012-13, the college employed 425 full-time and part-time faculty and staff, 78% of whom lived in St. Clair County.
