    Monday, February 17, 2014
Registration for St. Clair County Community College’s 12th annual Free College Day begins Sunday, March 9.
Free College Day is Saturday, March 29, and will offer more than 150 free classes on SC4’s Port Huron campus.

New this year, several sessions will be offered for kids. Kids 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult for the entire class period.

SC4 will provide one-hour sessions on a variety of topics, including arts and crafts, business, computers, history, recreation and science. Presenters include SC4 professors and staff and local residents who will volunteer their time to share their expertise with the community. The day also will include lunch breaks and drop-in activities.

Last year, Free College Day saw more than 1,200 people participate.

A complete schedule of classes and online registration will be available beginning Sunday, March 9, at www.sc4.edu/freecollege.

Early registration by telephone will be available from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 9, at (810) 989-5822. Normal phone registration will continue during business hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays, beginning Monday, March 10. Registration also will be available by fax at (810) 989-5752.

A schedule of classes also will appear as a special insert in the Sunday, March 9, edition of the Times Herald. In addition, the schedule will be available later that week at community locations, such as libraries, in St. Clair County.

Registration deadline is Tuesday, March 25. Classes fill fast, so early online registration is recommended. For the best selection, participants are encouraged to register Sunday, March 9.
