The St. Clair County Community College Symphonic Band and SC4 Jazz Band will open their seven-performance free Twilight Consert Series at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 22, in Lexington Harbor Park.

Other concerts in the 29th annual series are:

  • 5 p.m. Saturday, June 30 — Desmond Landing, Port Huron.
  • 7 p.m. Saturday, July 7 — SC4 Fine Arts Theatre, Port Huron.
  • 7 p.m. Thursday, July 12 — Algonac Riverfront Park.
  • 7 p.m. Saturday, July 14 — SC4 Fine Arts Theatre, Port Huron.
  • 7 p.m. Saturday, July 21 — SC4 Fine Arts Theatre, Port Huron.
  • 7 p.m. Saturday, July 28 — McMorran Place Auditorium, Port Huron.

The Twilight Consert Series features light and popular music by the two bands, conducted by Carl Gippert. St. Clair County Community College and the college’s Friends of the Arts group sponsor the shows, which are free to the public.

The July 28 concert will feature the Diffwinds Orchestra of Differdange, Luxembourg. The orchestra comprises 65 members age 26 and younger, under the direction of Professor Serge Kettenmeyer. For its U.S. Consert Tour in July, the orchestra will perform original pieces, as well as music popular in the United States.

The Diffwinds Orchestra performance is made possible by a grant from the Charles and Margaret Anderson Endowment Fund through the Community Foundation of St. Clair County.
