SC4 offers Web site design classes

St. Clair County Community College’s Workforce Training Institute is offering nine Web site design classes and a free question-and-answer session this fall on its Port Huron campus.

The free Web site question-and-answer session is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the Citizens First Michigan Technical Education Center. The class will introduce topics such domain names, Web hosting and Web site costs.

The other classes will provide the knowledge necessary to design and begin building a Web site from a business perspective using free software.

Classes are:

Web site Basics, Planning — 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 29.
Web site Basics, Designing — 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29.
Web site Basics, Building — 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29.
Learning HTML Tables — 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.
HTML Tables to Control Layout — 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4.
Web Graphics I — 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11.
Web Graphics II — 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11.
Using Multimedia on Your Web site — 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18.
Marketing Your Web site — 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 25.
Updating Your Web site — 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.
