Petitions available for open SC4 trustee seats

St. Clair County Community College will have two seats up for election in November on its Board of Trustees.

Petitions are available at the St. Clair County Clerk’s Office, 201 McMorran Blvd., Port Huron, for people living within the college’s district who want to run for the seats.

The election is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 4. The college’s district roughly follows the same geographic boundaries as the St. Clair County Regional Educational Service Agency.

The two, six-year terms would be from Jan. 1, 2009, through Dec. 31, 2014. The St. Clair County Community College Board of Trustees consists of seven elected residents.

The deadline for filing is 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12. For details, call the clerk’s office at (810) 985-2222.
