SC4 alumni trip to Buffalo, NY April 18, 2005 On Saturday, April 23 the public is invited to join Professor David Korff and the St. Clair County Community College (SC4) Alumni Association as they take a unique, fun and educational trip called Art and Architecture – the Best of Buffalo. Professor David Korff is SC4’s Visual and Performing Arts Department Chair and has been with the college for over 20 years. “We are going to look at treasures of architecture throughout Buffalo and the O’Keeffe exhibit promises to be incredible,” Korff said. The motor coach is scheduled to leave the SC4 College Center parking lot at 7:00 a.m. On the ride participants will view documentary videos about architect Frank Lloyd Wright and Georgia O’Keeffe. The bus will return to SC4 approximately 10:30 p.m. Following is the detailed agenda: 7:00 a.m. depart College Center parking lot 9:00 a.m. quick stop at Tim Horton’s along the 402 in Canada 11:00 a.m. arrive Buffalo, New York and tour the Louis Sullivan Guaranty Building 12:30 p.m. lunch at the Anchor Bar, original home of Buffalo Wings 2:00 p.m. drive the famous Olmstead Park System 2:30 p.m. Albright Knox Museum and Georgia O’Keeffe’s exhibit New Mexico – A Sense of Place 4:45 p.m. guided tours of two Frank Lloyd Wright Buildings 6:15 p.m. box dinner on the bus from the Quaker Bonnet Eatery 6:45 p.m. quick stop at Niagara Falls 7:30 p.m. popcorn and a movie on the bus 10:30 p.m. arrive back at SC4 (approximate) The $75 per person fee includes the luxury bus ride, all tours and admittance fees, lunch and dinner. SC4 Alumni Association membership is open to all past and present SC4 students as well as friends of the college. |
