Free SC4 seminar to focus on Internet security

St. Clair County Community College’s Workforce Training Institute will offer Internet Security for Grown-Ups, a free seminar, from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, on the college’s Port Huron campus.

The class will cover topics including how to create safer passwords, recognizing phishing and other social engineering attacks, updating virus and anti-spam software, and other ways that any computer user can be safer online.

The seminar is presented by the Automation Alley State of Michigan Regional Skills Alliance Grant for Information Security.
