SC4 announces date for Free College Day 2009

St. Clair County Community College’s seventh annual Free College Day will be Saturday, April 4, on the college’s Port Huron campus.

More than 100 classes will be offered at this event, which in 2008 saw more than 1,100 people participate.

SC4 will provide free, one-hour sessions on a variety of topics, including arts and crafts, business, computers and recreation. Presenters include SC4 professors and staff and local residents who will volunteer their time to share their expertise with the community.

The day will include lunch breaks and drop-in activities.

A complete schedule of classes and online registration will be available beginning Sunday, March 15, at www.sc4.edu/freecollege. Registration by telephone and fax will begin during business hours the week of March 15. A schedule of classes will appear as a special insert in the Sunday, March 15, edition of the Times Herald. The schedule also will be available at community locations in St. Clair County such as libraries.

Visit www.sc4.edu/freecollege for details.
