SC4 to offer seminar about online social networking

St. Clair County Community College’s Workforce Training Institute is presenting a free seminar, “Let’s Hang Out on the Web: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Online Social Networks.”

The seminar will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17 in Room 150 of the college’s Citizens First Michigan Technical Education Center.

The seminar is offered in partnership with Automation Alley MiRSA (The Southeast Michigan Information Security Regional Skills Alliance) and Lawrence Technological University.

The seminar explores online social networking sites such as MySpace, LinkedIn, Facebook and others. Participants will learn the pros and cons of social networking and learn how to stay safe while connecting with friends, family and colleagues around the world.

The event is free but requires pre-registration. To register, contact Bonnie DiNardo at bdinardo@sc4.edu or (810) 989-5739.
