SC4 Homecoming events planned July 15, 22

St. Clair County Community College and the SC4 Alumni Association are planning several Homecoming celebration events July 15 and 22 in Port Huron.

Alumni association members and representatives from various SC4 groups will be part of the Rotary International Day Parade at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, in downtown Port Huron. Alumni who are interested in participating should contact Debbie Sta Cruz at (810) 989-5760 or dstacruz@sc4.edu.

Also as part of Homecoming, the alumni association and SC4’s International Cultural Education Committee will sponsor a free international education event, “SC4: An Open Door to the World,” on Wednesday, July 22.

Programs are planned for 9 a.m. to noon in Room 150 of SC4’s Citizens First Michigan Technical Education Center.

Professor William Motz of Lansing Community College will give the keynote presentation about the benefits of and issues involved with international education programs. Motz is a professor of business, international business and marketing. He is co-facilitator of the Institute for International Business Community College Faculty through the Center for International Business Education and Research at Michigan State University.

The July 22 event also will include a panel discussion featuring overseas international students attending SC4, as well as a panel discussion featuring SC4 alumni who studied abroad.

For details about these events, contact Donna Blay at (810) 989-5761 or dblay@sc4.edu.
