SC4 students volunteer for Habitat for Humanity

Several St. Clair County Community College students spent September helping Blue Water Habitat for Humanity while getting a hands-on education.

Students in SC4’s Fundamentals of Residential Wiring class performed electrical work on two Port Huron homes as part of their class. The homes are on Little and Vanness streets.

Students, led by instructor James Forsman, completed jobs such as running electricity to a garage and installing outlets and light fixtures in the homes. The homes were dedicated to local families during a ceremony Saturday, Sept. 26.

Below are the names of the students in the class:
  • Jesse Fielitz of Capac.
  • Brian Harris of Port Huron.
  • Wesley Howell of Algonac.
  • James Lee of Columbus Township.
  • Brandon Macklem of Croswell.
  • Aaron Marks of Brown City.
  • Brian Mericle of Kimball Township.
  • Aaron Ringle of Arcadia Township.
  • Timothy Solack of Marine City.
