SC4 free concert to feature soloist, pianist St. Clair County Community College’s Thursday at Noon Consert Series will welcome back soprano Alexa Wing and pianist Gwen Beamish at noon Thursday, Oct. 29, in the college’s Fine Arts Theatre in Port Huron. Wing and Beamish first played the concert series in 2007. Wing is an accomplished concert performer who made her British recital debut in 1997. She has appeared as a soloist with the Aradia Baroque Ensemble, London Fanshawe Symphonic Chorus, Toronto Symphony Orchestra and Windsor Symphony Orchestra. Beamish will accompany Wing on piano. Noon concerts are scheduled throughout the fall and winter semesters at SC4, offering a variety of talent and musical style. Lillian Maley is event host and artistic director. The concerts are free, with the exception of the Dec. 10 holiday show, which is $5 admission. Continuing this year is an option to enjoy lunch with the performers in the college’s Fine Arts Galleries following each concert. The lunch cost is $7, and seating is limited. Reservations are required by calling (810) 989-5709 by the Monday before each concert. For more information about the Thursday at Noon Consert Series and a complete schedule, visit www.sc4.edu/noonconcerts or call (810) 989-5709. ###
