SC4’s The Spiral Studio featuring members of The Shop

St. Clair County Community College's The Spiral Studio in November will feature members of The Shop, an art cooperative based in Port Huron.

The Spiral Studio is 300 square feet of workspace at Studio 1219 in Port Huron for SC4 students, faculty and alumni. Each month, an SC4 art instructor or alumni artist is featured working in the studio.

SC4 students and alumni are welcome to use the studio to create their own work, converse with the guest artist, and network with fellow students and artists at Studio 1219. The public is welcome to visit and discuss art with The Spiral Studio artists.

Eight members from The Shop will work in various mediums, including water color and figure drawing, throughout the month, focusing on the theme of "Environment." The members are:

  • Belinda Collinge Haselschwerdt of St. Clair.
  • Kerry Cox of Port Huron.
  • Mary Francisco of Lexington.
  • David W. Harris of Port Huron.
  • Lisa King of Fort Gratiot.
  • Evelyn Marie Petty of Yale.
  • Winnie Schuette of Armada.
  • Elizabeth Wilcome of Port Huron.

The Shop members will have a public opening at The Spiral Studio from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6.

The Spiral Studio and Studio 1219 hours are noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
