SC4 ‘zombies’ scare up food, money for local food depot

St. Clair County Community College students in costumes pose with food collected as part of a “zombie walk” food drive Thursday, Oct. 29, to benefit Blue Water Community Food Depot. The drive was planned by SC4 student newspaper Erie Square Gazette, in collaboration with SC4’s Lambda Mu chapter of Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society and SC4 Student Government. The walk collected more than 300 pounds of food and $70 in donations for the depot. People still can contribute to the food drive through December by placing items in donation boxes set up in various campus locations. For monetary donations, make checks payable to Blue Water Community Food Depot and mail to Erie Square Gazette, St. Clair County Community College, 323 Erie St., P.O. Box 5015, Port Huron, MI 48061-5015. Visit www.sc4.edu/photos to see more photos from the zombie walk.
