SC4’s The Spiral Studio featuring local artist

St. Clair County Community College’s The Spiral Studio in January and February will feature SC4 student Karen Peterson.

The Spiral Studio is 300 square feet of workspace at Studio 1219 in Port Huron for SC4 students, faculty and alumni. Each month normally features an SC4 art instructor or alumni artist working in the studio.

SC4 students and alumni are welcome to use the studio to create their own work, converse with the guest artist, and network with fellow students and artists at Studio 1219. The public is welcome to visit and discuss art with The Spiral Studio artists.

Peterson of St. Clair is an SC4 sophomore majoring in communication design. She will be at the studio from Jan. 19 through Feb. 28. Her show, “Karen Bares All,” will feature numerous art pieces in photography, computer graphics, illustrations and drawings.

A reception is set for 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5.

The Spiral Studio and Studio 1219 hours are noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
