SC4 baseball team to present Battle of the Bands fundraiser

St. Clair County Community College’s baseball team will present a Battle of the Bands fundraiser from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 28, in the Fine Arts Theatre on the college’s Port Huron campus.

Four local bands will compete for a $500 cash prize.

The bands are:
  • Bishop’s Collar — Shelby Township-based rock band.
  • Gasoline Gypsy — Port Huron Township-based classic rock/blues band.
  • Reckless Ambitions — Kimball Township-based rock/classic rock band.
  • Walking Past Nowhere — Clyde Township-based rock/alternative band.

Port Huron area classic rock band Straight Shooter will close the show.

Admission is $10 for the public and $5 for students. The winning band is determined by crowd voting. Votes are $1 each or 10 votes for $5. Admission tickets count as one vote each.

Admission tickets are available in advance by calling (810) 989-5513 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays. Tickets also will be sold at the door; doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Proceeds benefit SC4’s baseball team.
