SC4 Friends of the Arts brunches raise $1,300

The Friends of the Arts organization at St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron raised about $1,300 through its annual Sunday brunch fund-raiser in November.

Tickets were sold for a buffet brunch at the River Crab restaurant in St. Clair Township for any Sunday in November. Tickets cost the same as the menu price, and the River Crab donated $5 from each ticket sale to Friends of the Arts to support various arts programs at the college.

Programs that will benefit include SC4’s monthly free Thursday at Noon Consert Series, SC4 Symphonic Band, art exhibitions, theatre productions and Patterns, a magazine of student visual art and creative writing.

The Friends of the Arts group supports the arts and promotes programs in music, theatre, creative writing and the visual arts at SC4.

For Friends of the Arts membership information, call (810) 989-5508.
