SC4 free concert to feature flute, guitar duo St. Clair County Community College’s Thursday at Noon Consert Series will continue with a Jan. 27 performance in the Fine Arts Theatre on the college’s Port Huron campus. The concert, Folias Flute and Guitar Duo, will feature Carmen Maret on flute and Andrew Bergeron on guitar. This concert will be the premiere debut of this musical duo to the SC4 stage. Trained in classical, jazz and tango, the husband and wife duo perform and compose music that blends concert chamber music with folk music, especially dance music from South America. Noon concerts are scheduled throughout the fall and winter semesters at SC4, offering a variety of talent and musical style. Lillian Maley is event host and artistic director. The concerts are free. Continuing this year is an option to enjoy lunch with the performers in the college’s Fine Arts Galleries following each concert. The lunch cost is $8, and seating is limited. Reservations are required by calling (810) 989-5709 by the Monday before each concert. For details about the Thursday at Noon Consert Series, call (810) 989-5709 or visit www.sc4.edu/noonconcerts. ###
