St. Clair County Community College’s Workforce Training Institute will offer an innovation and entrepreneurship program on the college’s Port Huron campus.

The program will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday from Feb. 7 to April 13.

The program is for people who wish to start their own business. Participants will learn to use the innovation process to identify and develop an idea and then implement a business plan to capitalize on that opportunity through entrepreneurship.

Topics include:

• Innovation process – Knowledge and thinking, technology, community, opportunities, customers, personas, brainstorming and creativity.
• Entrepreneurship process – Identifying a vision of success, finding focus and direction, creating a marketing strategy, identifying sources of funding, and developing and presenting a business plan.
