SC4 plans events for adults interested in coming back to school

St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron will have two events in July for adults interested in coming to college for the first time or returning to college.

Adults can drop in between 6 and 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, or Tuesday, July 19, in Room 150 of SC4’s Citizens First Michigan Technical Education Center, corner of Erie Street and Glenwood Avenue.

Representatives will be available to answer questions adults have about college. Potential students also can get one-on-one help with filling out the admissions application, applying for financial aid available regardless of a student’s age, and choosing a career path and classes.

Fall classes begin Aug. 22. Hundreds of day, evening and weekend courses are available at the main campus in Port Huron, plus additional courses at off-campus learning centers at Algonac, Bad Axe, Croswell, Peck and Yale.

A variety of online and accelerated classes provided additional options for students to create flexible schedules.

For more information about the events, contact Paulette Bohm at (810) 989-5553.
