SC4 to offer personal fitness trainer program

St. Clair County Community College’s Workforce Training Institute will offer a certified personal fitness trainer program on the college’s Port Huron campus.

The class will run from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and Wednesday from Oct. 10 to Nov. 16.

The certification training will help students become job-ready for a new career in six weeks.

The program includes lecture, practical training and a 30-hour externship. Students will learn biomechanics, exercise physiology, fitness testing, equipment usage and health assessment.

Students must complete pre-assessment testing at least one week prior to class start date.
