SC4 support staff plan charity silent auction, craft, bake sale

St. Clair County Community College support staff will have their annual Silent Auction, Craft and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, in the SC4 College Center Café.

Each year, proceeds from the event benefit the Educational Support Personnel Scholarship Fund, as well as a charity or charities selected by the support staff. This year’s charity will be Hunter Hospitality House.

Last year’s event raised more than $2,000.

Crafts and baked goods will be available for sale. Gift baskets can be bid on during the silent auction. The baskets are filled with small gifts, non-perishable food products or holiday items. Many baskets have themes, such as sports teams, the holidays or arts and crafts.

This year, the event will include the sale of previously viewed DVDs and VHS tapes.
