SC4 free concert April 12 to feature jazz trio

St. Clair County Community College's Thursday at Noon Concert Series will continue with an April 12 performance by The Royal Garden Trio in the Fine Arts Theatre on the college's Port Huron campus.

The Royal Garden Trio is a musical jazz hybrid, blending the Parisian café with the American nightclub. Employing the non-traditional instrumentation of guitar, cello and clarinet, the trio plays live jazz, which appeals to audiences of all ages. Their original music is featured in the Detroit Institute of Arts "Let Yourself Go" television commercials. The trio will be performing such vintage jazz tunes as I'll See You In My Dreams and Sweet Georgia Brown.

Noon concerts are scheduled throughout the fall and winter semesters at SC4, offering a variety of talent and musical style. The concerts are free.

Continuing this year is an option to enjoy lunch with the performers in the college's Fine Arts Galleries following each concert. The lunch cost is $8, and seating is limited. Reservations are required by calling (810) 989-5709 by the Monday before each concert.

For details about the Thursday at Noon Concert Series, call (810) 989-5709 or visit www.sc4.edu/noonconcerts.
