St. Clair County Community College students have elected the following Student Government officers for the 2012-13 academic year following voting Tuesday, April 3, and Wednesday, April 4:
  • President — Rachel Kobylas, a sophomore from Brown City. Kobylas in 2011-12 is president of SC4's Global Awareness Club; a member of SC4's chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success, Sigma Alpha Pi; a member of SC4's Lambda Mu chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society; and a member of SC4's Criminal Justice Club. In 2010-11, Kobylas was vice president of SC4's Student Government and completed training to become a Certified Student Leader through the National Center for Student Leadership.
  • Vice president — Sean Lathrop, a sophomore from Port Huron. Lathrop in 2011-12 is serving as president of SC4's Gay-Straight Alliance.
  •  Secretary — Alysia Burge, a sophomore from Port Huron. Burge in 2011-12 also is serving as secretary of SC4's Student Government. In 2010-11, Burge was secretary of SC4's Zombie Defense Council student club.
  • Treasurer — Andrew Kreiner, a freshman from Marysville. Kreiner in 2011-12 is vice president of SC4's Global Awareness Club.

The terms for all four officers will begin at the start of the spring session.

Student Government promotes and sponsors a wide range of activities throughout the academic year and serves as the formal voice for the student population.
