The Commencement ceremony is open to the public. No tickets are required.

Christian Michael Jones, 20, of St. Clair will serve as keynote speaker for the ceremony. Jones will graduate summa cum laude that night with an associate in arts degree.

He plans to transfer to Oakland University to pursue a bachelor's degree in communications.

Jones was selected as Commencement speaker through a nomination and interview process involving SC4's faculty and Commencement Planning Committee.

Jones is a music director at Faith Lutheran Church in Port Huron. He also is music director for the upcoming SC4 children's theatre production of Edward, the Owl and the Calico Cat. Jones has acted in six SC4 theatre shows and also has theatre experience with McMorran Presents, St. Clair High School and St. Clair Recreation Youth Theatre.

For winter semester, he has been hosting a show on SC4 radio station WSGR-FM 91.3 from 4 to 7 p.m. each Monday. He also is completing a spring and summer internship with WBTI-FM 96.9 in Port Huron; he assists on air from 7 p.m. to midnight each Saturday.

Jones was a Commencement speaker for the St. Clair High School Class of 2010. He is a son of James and Renée Jones.

SC4 has more than 630 students eligible to graduate.
