Faculty Memorial Award honors SC4 students

St. Clair County Community College students Patrick and Monalisa Zewatski of Clay Township each were honored with a 2012 Faculty Memorial Award during the college's 88th annual Commencement ceremony Friday, May 4.

The Zewatskis, husband and wife, received the Faculty Memorial Award for students who have completed two years at SC4.

The award was founded by Professor Richard Colwell, past chairman of the SC4 English Department. It is meant to recognize outstanding students and provide a moment at Commencement to remember extraordinary educators who have passed away.

Nominees for the 2012 Completing Student Award in addition to the Zewatskis were:
