SC4's enhanced computer networking program begins in August

St. Clair County Community College in Port Huron has enhanced its computer information systems – networking associate degree program to reflect the latest techniques and tools in the industry.

The curriculum changes, which will begin with fall semester 2012 classes in August, are designed to better provide students with employable skills and make them more marketable.

The program will prepare students to obtain jobs in the networking industry.

The changes include adding six new classes that align the program to enable students to earn numerous industry certifications. Certifications include CompTIA Network+, Security+, Linux+, Project+ and Cisco's CCNA certification. Earning the certifications in addition to the SC4 degree will make students more marketable to employers.

Students who previously selected the program from the College Catalog can choose to complete their degree following the old program or can elect to switch to the new curriculum.

For details about the degree, call the SC4 Computer and Office Technology Department at (810) 989-5628.

Registration for fall classes is open now. For registration and payment information, contact Enrollment Services at (810) 989-5500 or enrollment@sc4.edu.
