SC4 professor awarded grant

Susan Plachta

St. Clair County Community College English Professor Susan Plachta of Linwood has received a grant from the J.B. Sperry Endowment Fund for the Advancement of Study for 2012.

Plachta was awarded $700 for a graduate certificate in e-learning and online teaching through the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

The grants have been awarded annually since 1961 to faculty or administrators, in memory of the late J.B. Sperry. Recipients can use the grants for graduate studies or travel abroad study opportunities.
