Jill Rowan art exhibition to open Aug. 19 at SC4

St. Clair County Community College will present “Transitions,” an art exhibition by Jill Rowan from Aug. 19 to Oct. 3 in the Fine Arts Galleries on the college’s Port Huron campus.

She will be showing a variety of work, including some ceramic mosaic pieces that reveal hidden messages when examined carefully.

Show hours will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. A reception will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5. Admission is free to both the show and the reception.

Rowan of Brownstown is a new member of the SC4 adjunct faculty. She will be teaching ceramics this fall. She earned a master of fine arts in ceramics from Cranbrook Academy of Art.
