CMU explains new Ed.D. program at SC4 on June 1

Central Michigan University (SC4) will begin its new doctor of education degree program in Port Huron in September 2005.  The Ed.D. is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and skills to educational leaders who seek to transform the educational institution.

The program is geared toward working adults, with weekend classes held locally at SC4.

The Ed.D. will be taught in the cohort format -- a group of students that follow a set sequence of courses together from start to finish. The support groups formed among cohort students significantly increase the success rate of participants and provide valuable professional contacts.

An information session will be presented on June 1 at 6 p.m. at the St. Clair County Community College MTEC, Room 208.  Reservations are suggested by calling 989-774-3204.  There is still time to begin the application process and become part of the cohort group, but enrollment is limited.

CMU recently partnered with St. Clair County Community College (SC4) to bring advanced educational opportunities to area residents through the SC4 University Center.  CMU is currently offering the master of arts in education and the master of science in administration in Port Huron.
