SC4 presents lineup of learning adventures for young students

Parents and teens looking for ways to enrich students' summer vacations will find many options this summer at St. Clair County Community College (SC4) in Port Huron.

Reach Out for College Credit is designed to provide a rewarding learning program for motivated middle school and high school students.  Fifteen courses are offered this summer, most meeting during a one-week period in June or July.   The first courses begin June 27.  Registration ends May 27.

SC4 has developed intensive hands-on learning experiences in anthropology, print making, ceramics, zoology, personal investing, computer programming, networking, journalism, computer-aided engineering, German for travel, robot programming, Bach to Beatles and Hip Hop, American sign language, and improvisation.

“This is a great opportunity to experience an academic challenge while earning one college credit from SC4,” said Reach Out coordinator Michelle Glenn.

A complete schedule of classes with grade levels, costs, meeting dates and registration information is available online at http://www.sc4.edu/reachout
or e-mail mglenn@sc4.edu or call 810-989-5580 for details.
