Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) announces additional dates to its Summer 2005 schedule of Teacher Certification Informational Meetings on the campus of St. Clair County Community College (SC4) in downtown Port Huron.

The dates and times are as follows:

Monday, August 1st, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., M-TEC building, room 209

Wednesday, August 10th, 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., M-TEC building, room 209

Friday, August 26th, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., M-TEC building, room 208

Monday, August 29th, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., M-TEC building, room 209

These informational meetings are for persons who already have a Bachelor's or Graduate Degree, and would like to obtain certification in Elementary or Secondary Education from the State of Michigan.

The meetings will present both the Elementary and Secondary Education programs at the Regional Education Center - Port Huron on the SC4 campus and the Regional Education Center in Macomb, outline requirements and answer individual questions. People interested in obtaining certification through SVSU need to attend one of these meetings before scheduling an appointment with an SVSU certification advisor. The meetings are free of charge, and no prior registration is required.
