SC4 appoints Carol Krumbach as Executive Director of College Advancement

Carol Krumbach has been appointed to the position of Executive Director of College Advancement at St. Clair County Community College (SC4). As Executive Director, Krumbach will be responsible for leading the College Advancement Department, which includes marketing, public relations, development and alumni relations.

Krumbach has nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, including previous positions as director of marketing, director of admissions, director of student activities, admissions counselor and resident director.

From 1994 to 2001 she served as director of marketing at North Central Michigan College in Petoskey, where she led the college's marketing department and organized special events and fundraising activities. She also served on the Petoskey Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and spearheaded the establishment of a community leadership training program called "Leadership Little Traverse."

Prior to the position in Petoskey, Krumbach spent four years as director of admissions at Montcalm Community College in Sidney, Michigan, where she led admissions and recruitment activities, new student orientation, and grant-funded programs for single parents and displaced homemakers. Her successful recruitment efforts at Montcalm were profiled in the national publication "Admissions Marketing Report" in 1994.

Krumbach also worked at Olivet College in Olivet, Michigan as director of student activities, and was an admissions counselor and a resident director at Northern Michigan University in Marquette. Most recently, she coordinated marketing and higher education business development for the architectural firm of Fanning/Howey Associates, Inc. in Novi, Michigan.

"Carol's experience in marketing and community relations will be a big asset to SC4," said College President Dr. Rose Bellanca. "She has an excellent background that will serve us well as we continue to strengthen SC4's relationship with the community."

Krumbach has a bachelor of science degree in English and journalism from Northern Michigan University and is completing a master's degree in communication from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. She is residing in Port Huron.
