SC4 Professor wins Paragon Awards

St. Clair County Community College (SC4) Professor John Henry took home three awards from the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations 28th Annual Conference earlier this year in Orlando, Florida.

Professor Henry, who teaches Communication Design at SC4 and helped launch SC4's new communication design program, won one gold and two bronze Paragon Awards for posters he designed for college art shows. His work was in competition with submissions from two-year technical schools and community colleges from all across the nation.

The local community will have an opportunity to view some of Professor Henry's designs at an Art Dedication on Wednesday, September 18 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Citizens First Michigan Technical Education Center (M-TECSM) on the downtown Port Huron campus of SC4. Twenty-four computer-generated composite illustrations and one sculpture created by Professor Henry specifically for the M-TEC will become a part of the SC4 permanent collection.

For more information about the Art Dedication, contact Janet Brown at the SC4 Center for Business and Industry at 810-989-5748.
