Three-week nature study offered by SC4

The study of nature in the wild is the subject of a newly formatted concentrated credit class at St. Clair County Community College (SC4). The class begins on May 20 and meets for three weeks on Mondays through Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students will spend class time on field trips to game areas hiking with veteran Biology Professor Bob Collins and will focus on birds, insects, flowers and trees.

"This is a great class for nature lovers or for students going into teaching. It will help make future teachers comfortable with nature," said Professor Bob Collins who designed and teaches the course. "Students will learn about the diversity of things in an area and understand their relationship with each other."

For more information contact Professor Collins at 810-989-5653 or register for BIO150 Natural History through SC4 Enrollment Services at 810-989-5500.
