SC4 Offers Late Starting Classes

Enrollment is under way for late-starting fall classes at St. Clair County Community College. A variety of short-term credit courses will begin in September and October, with the first classes starting the week of September 19.

Subjects include core courses such as English, math, political science, speech, psychology and computers. Additional options include international business, accounting, world geography, electronics, study skills, introduction to a career in teaching and others.

SC4 Dean of Instruction Paul Schmitt said late-starting short-term courses are designed to give students more scheduling choices. “These options meet the needs of students who weren’t able to start classes at the beginning of the fall semester but are now ready to earn college credits to move their education forward,” Schmitt said. “Many of our working adult students prefer the accelerated five-, eight- or 12-week course formats.”
