Public invited to health job fair

St. Clair County Community College (SC4) will present its annual Health Career Fair on November 14, from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. in the College Center Cafeteria on the downtown Port Huron Campus.  This year the public is invited to attend and find out about current career opportunities and position openings in health career fields.  Local and regional health care employers will be on campus to recruit Licensed Practical Nurses, Registered Nurses and medical office support staff, and other health-related positions. The event also provides an avenue for job seekers to network with area health care employers.

“The career fair is a convenient way to explore career options locally, as well as in the Detroit Metropolitan area and beyond”, said Julie Bishop, Career Development Specialist at SC4.

There is still limited space available for employers wishing to recruit from the college's diverse and qualified base of students and alumni.  The Health Career Fair also provides the chance for companies to showcase their organizations.  Employers should call SC4 Career and Counseling Services at 810-989-5515 to sign up for the event, or to consult with a college employment specialist for year-round service in filling jobs.  Lifetime career assistance is available to all students and alumni of SC4 by appointment.

St. Clair County Community College currently serves approximately 9,200 students in the Blue Water area with a wide range of credit and non-credit classes.  The College offers 51 Associate degree and Certificate programs and 55 seamless transfer program options.  A variety of Bachelor and Master degree programs are available locally through the SC4 University Center.  The College provides career development, personal and professional development, business and industrial training and community enrichment for citizens of all ages.  New resources include online and fast track courses.  The full-service, main campus is located in downtown Port Huron, with Thumb Area Centers located in Algonac, Bad Axe, Imlay City, Peck and Yale.  St. Clair County Community College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association.
