MBA added to SC4s University Center

At a joint college staff meeting on April 14 in Port Huron, Dr. Keith Pretty, President of Walsh College, announced that Walsh College will be offering a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Port Huron at the St. Clair County Community College (SC4) University Center. The classes will start in the fall 2000.

"Walsh College has a reputation for quality and a commitment of providing exceptional business programs to the communities of St. Clair County," stated President Pretty.

"Students interested in completing an MBA degree can do so conveniently without leaving their community."

The Walsh MBA is based on 36 semester credit hours with a flexible course delivery, including extensive use of technology via Internet, email, electronic research and chat rooms. Employers value the comprehensive preparation of an MBA, that is the primary reason this degree is in such high demand. Walsh MBA students will be prepared to base decisions on a variety of considerations, weighing the financial, managerial, marketing, and human resource implications.

"The addition of an MBA degree to the SC4 University Center provides the first graduate degree that is available to our community on SC4's Port Huron campus," said Dr. Christa Adams, President of St. Clair County Community College.

The University Center currently serves the Blue Water area with a variety of bachelor degree (four year) programs from Walsh College, University of Michigan-Flint, Saginaw Valley State University and Franklin University. For information on the University Center call SC4 at 810-989-5500 or visit the SC4 Website at www.stclair.cc.mi.us.

Students interested in the Walsh MBA can contact Walsh Representative, Bonnie Wilton, at 810-984-4444, email bwilton@walshcol.edu, or visit the Walsh Website at www.walshcollege.edu for further details.
