SC4 to host high school quiz bowl

St. Clair County Community College and the SC4 Alumni Association will sponsor the 2006 Regional High School Quiz Bowl on Saturday, Feb. 11, in the North Building and Fine Arts Theatre on the Port Huron campus.

Quiz Bowl is a double-elimination competition testing students on a broad range of topics from history and mathematics to grammar and current events.

This year's event includes teams from 11 high schools: Capac, Carsonville-Port Sanilac, Croswell-Lexington, Dryden, Imlay City, Marlette, Peck, Port Huron High, Port Huron Northern, Sandusky and Yale.

The winning schools in each division receive trophies, medals and scholarship awards from St. Clair County Community College.

Competition begins at 9 a.m. and the finals begin at noon.
