SC4 taking enrollment in new classes

St. Clair County Community College is rolling out several new classes this fall, and space is still open during open registration.

SC4’s fall semester begins Aug. 21 in Port Huron.

New classes include Acting for Film, C++ Programming for Engineers, Environmental Technology, Geography of Energy, International Business, Network Security and Wellness: A Concept of Health & Fitness.

Class descriptions are as follows:

  • Acting for Film — Perfect class for the novice actor or the experienced stage actor who needs to make the transition to the camera.
  • C++ Programming for Engineers — Introduction to fundamental concepts of computer programming, problem solving techniques and algorithm development.
  • Environmental Technology — Three classes include Introduction to Environmental Technology, Introduction to Water Treatment and Introduction to Wastewater Treatment.
  • Geography of Energy — Offers a broad overview of historical sources of energy and the most likely future sources of energy.
  • International Business — Introductory course to prepare students for conducting business in today's international environment.
  • Network Security — Exposes students to some of the security issues facing today's networks, including communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, external attack and operational and organizational security.
  • Wellness: A Concept of Health & Fitness — Designed to stimulate the student's interest in a lifetime of good health and physical activity.
