CMU to offer new master's degrees at SC4

Central Michigan University this fall will offer two new master’s degree programs in Port Huron through the SC4 University Center.

CMU will offer a master of science in administration and a master of arts in educational technology. The classes will be offered in a cohort format, meaning students would take classes as a group through the entire program. Students must start the classes this fall with the group to earn the degrees.

Classes will meet from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, every other weekend, on SC4’s Port Huron campus. The degrees take about 18 months to complete.

Students must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited university and have a 2.7 grade point average to qualify. CMU is accepting applications for the programs.

Information sessions about the two degrees are planned for 4:30 p.m. Thursday, May 3, in the Citizens First Michigan Technical Education Center on SC4’s Port Huron campus.

More than 30 bachelor’s and master’s degrees are offered by the SC4 University Center partners, who also include Ferris State University, Kettering Graduate Center, Madonna University, Saginaw Valley State University, Siena Heights University, University of Michigan-Flint and Wayne State University.
