As a new student at SC4, you are required to meet with an advisor for the purpose of discussing your career and academic goals and appropriate course selection. It is your responsibility to assure that your course selections meet the criteria for your degree or certificate requirements. This is done through freshmen audits, elective academic advising appointments, and unofficial and official graduation audits. With this assistance, you will be able to track your progress to completion of your educational goals. You are encouraged to contact the Student Success Center office to develop and review your career goals and plans. Academic & Personal Concerns Advisors can refer you to the Achievement Center to assist in academic preparedness, study skills, tutoring, language barriers, and handicapper services. Through the Student Success Center and the Achievement Center, confidential referrals are also available for personal counseling to qualified community agencies and mental health practitioners in St. Clair and adjoining counties. To schedule an appointment with an advisor, click here or call the Student Success Center at (810) 989-5520. Through programs offered by various Student Service offices we will assist you in resolving barriers to academic success. These programs include the Academic Progress Review, Fresh Start, Student Success Seminars, and Achievement Center programs. |
