During its annual meeting Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, the SC4 Alumni Association named Robert W. Carson of Fort Gratiot as its Distinguished Alumnus of the Year. The event was at Quay Street Brewing Co. in Port Huron. Carson graduated from St. Clair County Community College and the University of Michigan. He went on to earn a law degree from what was then the University of Detroit Law School. Carson is a senior partner with Fort Gratiot law firm McIntosh, McColl, Carson and Strickler. He has been on the March of Dimes Board of Directors since 1975 and is past president of the Port Huron Golf Club in Fort Gratiot. He also volunteers with Autism Speaks in St. Clair County. He is a member and past president, as well as Scholarship Committee chair, of the SC4 Alumni Association Board. He has been chair of the Alumni Golf Classic for the past 14 years.
